Marescaux performed the first transcontinental laparoscopic surgery. Together with his team, he has published over 4,000 articles and communications. In addition, Pr. Pr. Jacques Donnez is the Director of the SRI (Infertility Research Unit) in Brussels, Belgium. He is also a Professor at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium.
